The following works will be carried out in Autumn 2026
Various areas on Bidders, 7 islands, Mill House and the Golf Course sub-sites will undergo acid grass clearance over the coming week. This will reduce scrub encroachment and help improve the sensitive acid grassland areas.
On Tuesday 18 August a large diameter water main running over the Fairsite burst and flooded much of the surrounding area. Due to financial pressure the car park will not now open until 10am at weekends
Two new benches have been installed around 7 islands pond, replacing old benches. Another bench has been removed because it was coming to the end of its safe life span.
Depending on weather conditions, hay-cutting will start on 15th July. To facilitate large vehicle access, Mill House Ecology Centre car park will be closed on the 16th and 17th July.
The Fair will be arriving on Monday 22 June and be open to the public on 27-28 June and 2-5 July from early afternoon until 10pm in the evening

The car park height barrier was recently damaged by an unknown vehicle. This is due to be repaired on 16/6/2026. To facilitate this work the car park will be closed during its repair.
Most of the roadside verges will be cut with a tractor mounted flail over the next week.
Selected areas are currently being sprayed. This is to prevent scrub encroachment into sensitive grassland areas. The herbicide does not contain glyphosate.
The Fair will be arriving on Saturday 21 March and be open to the public over the period 28 March until 12 April from early afternoon until 10pm in the evening
