Dead animals on Mitcham Common: Email mitcham.commoninfo@merton.gov.uk. If bird flu is suspected report to DEFRA.

Is fishing permitted on Mitcham Common?
Yes, but you will need a rod license.
Are BBQ’s/small camp fires permitted on the Common?
No.
Can I take logs from the Common?
No, because they are an important wildlife resource.
Is kite flying allowed on the Common?
Yes, the Common is a great place to fly kites. However during the summer of 2024 there was a significant issue with kite debris left on the Common, especially discarded line. So please ensure you take all of your kite home with you!
