On Good Friday parishioners of St Michael’s Church in Pollards Hill will walk their traditional ‘Way of the Cross’ procession. This year part of the route will be on Mitcham Common
The following tree works will be carried out in the near future: Location 1: Reduce the height of 3 trees Locations 2 and 3: Fell several groups of small trees Locations 4 and 5: Remedial work to dead trees leaving 2m high monolith Location 6: Remedial work to low-hanging large tree branch
Over the next few months, visitors to the Common may notice a drone being flown in the vicinity of One Island Pond and the Bidder Memorial. The drone pilot has been commissioned by the Conservators to undertake a filmmaking project on the Common.
