For safety reasons, a row of four Poplar trees growing adjacent to the Croydon Road shared footpath will be felled in the near future.

For safety reasons, a row of four Poplar trees growing adjacent to the Croydon Road shared footpath will be felled in the near future.

Over the next few weeks, selected areas of bramble will be cut. Areas included are on Bidders, Mill House, 7 islands and Gunsite subsites. This will facilitate the regeneration of grassland.
The roads around Mitcham Common will have their verges flailed on 21st-22nd June.
The tall Lombardy Poplar, located on the eastern side of The Meadows flatted development on Commonside East, is scheduled to be pruned this week
The area of Mitcham Common behind Mill House Ecology Centre (see link below) is due to have it’s scrub removed in the near future to restore this area for recreation purposes. recreationgrasslandrestoration
