Gas main replacement works undertaken by SGN over the past few months has now been completed.
Due to weather conditions only part of the hard landscaping reinstatement has been undertaken to date. Towards the end of Winter/early Spring the parcels of land disturbed by the essential works, such as the one shown in the photo below, will be graded, reseeded and footpaths reinstated.
During May 2025, four new benches will be installed on Mitcham Common. These are replacing benches that have come to the end of their life. The locations are on the map below.
The roads around Mitcham Common will have their verges flailed on 21st-22nd June.
