Arthurs Pond has been managed to allow a dense barrier of scrub woodland to develop on its roadside edges. This was in direct response to multiple incidents of fly-tipping in the body of the pond in the 1990s and before. This enhancement proposal will consider tree and shrub growth.

Over the next week soil will be added to some of the boundary bunds. This is for safety and to prevent unwanted vehicle incursion.

A new bin has been installed on the footpath linking Brookmead Road and Redhouse Road (see photo). This is initially for a trial period. If the bin gets used for dumping domestic rubbish, it will be removed. The bin near Southampton Gardens has been removed because it was being used for dumping domestic rubbish.
A contractor is currently undertaking acid grass clearance on 7 islands, Bidders and Golf course sub-sites. This is to maintain and enhance the important acid grass coverage.
