Mitcham Common Autumn Fair

The Fair will be arriving on Monday 13 November and be open to the public over the period 25 October until 1 November from early afternoon until 10pm in the evening

A contractor is currently undertaking acid grass clearance on 7 islands, Bidders and Golf course sub-sites. This is to maintain and enhance the important acid grass coverage.

For several months water has been seeping from the Common onto the highway. A Thames Water pipe runs under the Common near to where the water is emerging. Officers are of the view that this is the likely source of the leak. Thames Water has tested the water ponding on the road and advised that…
