On Wednesday 21 January, London Universities & Colleges Athletics will be holding a cross country event on the Common.
Runners will follow a circular route starting at the lower field by the Ecology Centre, over the hills near the Croydon side of the Common and back towards the Ecology Centre.

Over the next few months, visitors to the Common may notice a drone being flown in the vicinity of One Island Pond and the Bidder Memorial. The drone pilot has been commissioned by the Conservators to undertake a filmmaking project on the Common.
